Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

Goose + Berry is committed to operating responsibly, ethically, and with integrity in all aspects of our business. We recognise our duty to take a robust approach to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking within our operations and supply chains, including our catering and event services.

Purpose and Scope

This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement sets out Goose + Berry’s commitment to preventing modern slavery, forced labour, and human trafficking across our business and supply chains.

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, suppliers, and business partners. It covers all areas of our operations, including catering, events, procurement, and recruitment within the hospitality sector.

Policy Statement

We fully support the principles of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in any part of our business or supply chains.

We expect the same high standards from all contractors, suppliers, and partners involved in our operations.

Principles

  • We operate with honesty, integrity, and transparency in all business dealings.

  • We maintain a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking.

  • We are committed to acting ethically and with due diligence in all supplier relationships.

  • We promote a culture where concerns can be raised safely and without fear of retaliation.

Policies and Practices

We have implemented internal policies and procedures to support our commitment to preventing modern slavery, including:

  • Conducting due diligence on suppliers and subcontractors, including food and service providers, to assess compliance with anti-slavery requirements

  • Including anti-slavery and human trafficking clauses in supplier agreements

  • Operating an internal supplier accreditation process to vet suppliers prior to approval

  • Providing training to relevant staff to raise awareness of modern slavery risks and how to identify and report concerns

  • Encouraging openness and protecting whistleblowers through our whistleblowing policy

Supply Chain and Risk Management

Our supply chain includes food and beverage suppliers, service providers, and event partners.

We work with suppliers and partners who share our values and standards.

We aim to build long-term supplier relationships and carry out risk assessments where appropriate to identify and mitigate risks related to modern slavery.

Higher-risk areas within the supply chain are subject to increased scrutiny and review.

Training and Awareness

We are committed to ensuring that our team understands the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking.

Training is provided to relevant staff, particularly those involved in procurement, recruitment, and operational delivery.

Reporting Concerns

Employees, suppliers, and contractors are encouraged to report any concerns related to modern slavery or human trafficking.

Reports can be made confidentially and will be taken seriously and investigated promptly.

No individual will suffer any detriment for raising a genuine concern.

Responsibilities

All employees are responsible for remaining vigilant, understanding risks, and reporting any concerns.

Managers are responsible for ensuring this policy is implemented within their teams and that any concerns are addressed or escalated appropriately.

Suppliers and partners are expected to comply with this policy and demonstrate their own commitment to preventing modern slavery within their operations.

Monitoring and Review

We will continue to review and improve our practices to ensure effectiveness.

This includes reviewing supplier relationships, updating policies, and monitoring any reported concerns or incidents.

This statement will be reviewed annually.

Continuous Improvement

Goose + Berry is committed to continuously improving its approach to tackling modern slavery.

We will strengthen supplier due diligence, enhance training programmes, and refine internal processes to ensure risks are identified and managed effectively.

Equal Opportunities Policy

Goose + Berry is committed to being an equal opportunity employer. We believe every individual should be treated fairly, with dignity and respect, and that all employment decisions are based on merit, capability, and business needs.
